"About Us"

As a child I begged my dad for pets and he indulged me. My love for animals has been longstanding. My husband is a active participant and loves to spoil our crew. I have bred, trained, and shown dogs, horses and cats for many years. I am a dog trainer and I am the TPOC (Therapeutic Paw of Canada) evaluator for dogs and cats. I have and still do teach dog sports at dog camps on a volunteer basis. Jammie my bed buddy and myself have been featured on a Television show Animal Magnetism and we are the first chapter of a book called Great Dog Stories. I currently live with 2 parrots, 2 rats, 4 finches, several devon rex and silky terriers. I also keep a horse at the local boarding establishment. Yes I probably am crazy but I am crazy about my critters. I changed my cattery name when Dharma was diagnosed with cancer. I believe using the cattery name Dharma will keep her alive in our minds and hearts. I show all my cats in several registries and cattery is not a cattery with cats lined up in cages, no my cats live freely in my home, sleep in bed with us at night and are my precious companions first. My kittens are all home raised with dogs, rats, parrots and cats. We humans are there to love and serve them. I want my kittens to be fearless and happy and to know what a vacuum is and what the TV is and not to steal the food off our plates (although the food thing is not working out so good). I believe my breeding program should be like a 3 legged stool and that all the legs of the stool should be equal. The legs of my breeding stool are health, temperament and looks. All there are needed in equal measure to ensure you with a great companion. We are a small cattery that believes in quality not quantity. We produce healthy, well-socialized kittens with the wonderful "Dharma Devon Rex" personality. The health of our cats and critters are top priority. We use only top quality food in order to keep them in the best of health. All our kittens are vet checked and up to date on their vaccinations. We have a 1 year hereditary guarantee, this means genetic problems, not if you dropped the kitten on its head and now it has health issues. We are an NOT a open cattery but a home and you do require a appointment to visit. I am normal and have doctor appointmens, go shopping, have grandchildren and often go out horseback riding and fishing. We like to keep in touch with you throughout the life of your companion. Your feedback helps us keep on track and only produce wonderful companions. Our kittens leave our home only when they are 100% ready. They must be eating well on their own and have had the proper socialization with mom and siblings before they leave. We encourage you to visit your vet with the kitten and establish a rapport with your vet to insure a partnership in caring for your cat. All our cats kitten litters are registered with CCA but are eligible for registration in CFA and TICA. Some of our cats are International Champions. All are CCA Champions. The judges provide us with a report card and this insures we are breeding great devon rex. If you are interested in one of our kittens we do require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to hold a kitten for you until it is ready to go home with you. All our kittens are sold on a non breeding contract and are for pet and companionship only. Occasionally we place or exchange a great devon with other breeders that we know and are comfortable with.
